Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RecoRoot Studios. By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Bookings

Bookings are requests until confirmed by us. We may refuse a booking for safety, security, or operational reasons. Room details, rates, and availability are listed in the Catalog and are subject to change.

3. Payments

Rates are charged by the hour unless otherwise noted. Taxes and fees may apply. We accept major credit cards and ACH transfers via secure processors. Unpaid balances may incur late fees as permitted by law.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancel at least 24 hours before the start time for a full credit. Within 24 hours, a 50% charge applies. No-shows are charged in full. Credits expire after 12 months unless required otherwise by law.

5. Acceptable Use

• No unlawful activity, harassment, or unsafe behavior
• No tampering with building infrastructure or restricted equipment
• Respect noise policies and neighbors; comply with posted safety rules

6. Equipment and Damage

You are responsible for equipment while in your control. Report issues immediately. You may be charged for repair or replacement due to misuse or negligence.

7. Access and Security

You will receive access instructions upon confirmation. Do not share access codes. We may monitor entrances and common areas for security.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you for the booking giving rise to the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RecoRoot Studios from claims arising out of your use of the services or violation of these Terms.

10. Privacy

Your use of the services is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be effective when posted.
